If you are a San Anselmo property owner who has a financial hardship, you may qualify for a rebate of a portion or all of San Anselmo's Municipal Services Tax (called "General Purpose" on your property tax bill), Pension Override Tax and Library Parcel Tax.
Property owners who may be eligible to receive a rebate of these taxes include:
Any family in which the principal wage earner(s) has been unemployeed for at least 90 days.
Any family in which an unforeseen emergency has caused a catastrophe to the family.
Any family whose total income is less than 66.67% of a "very low income" from the Income Limit Schedule prepared by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Marin County for FY 2017.
The program is a REBATE PROGRAM, so property owners must first pay the taxes, then apply for a rebate in the spring of the year. Applications received are considered by the Town's Tax Equity Board, usually in May.

Please note: The Measure G Bonds (noted as "City Bonds" on your property tax bill) do not qualify for the tax rebate program. Also, rental property is not eligible to be considered for the rebate program.
